Harry Potter’s Daigon Alley at Universal Orlando® Resort – The largest park expansion slated for summer 2014 will include even more of the magical and excitement of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at the Universal Studios®. The mega expansion bring more of London to the U.S. and includes a replica of Daigon Alley, and a Hogwart’s Express train ride and a racing ride through Gringott’s bank.
Aqua Drag Racer at Wet ‘n Wild Orlando® – The famous, decades-old water park (a Universal Orlando Resort® park) that has scared the board shorts and bikini bottoms off guests for years is adding a new H2O-based screamer to its cluster of filled with rides, shoots and slides. Located on the tourist mecca strip International Drive, Wet ‘n Wild is launching the twisting, turning dual rider racing slide, Aqua Drag, this summer.
Festival of Fantasy Parade and The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Walt Disney World® Resort – Disney has released photo of the new Maleficent float that will be marching into an upcoming Festival of Fantasy Parade that will debut in the spring of 2014 at Fantasyland inside the Magic Kingdom® Theme Park. A Fantasyland expansion also includes The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which will take you on a musical ride amidst the Snow White theme and into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.”
Falcon’s Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay®
– Just over an hour west of Orlando is the incredible SeaWorld Orlando sister theme-park Busch Gardens Tampa Bay that many Orlando visitors hit on a day trip. Space Shuttle Atlantis at Kennedy Space Center – Since last summer 2013, Central Florida visitors have been flying into see up close and personal the space shuttle Atlantis, the final flight orbiter of NASA’s shuttle program. The shuttle now has a skyrocketing $100-million, 90,000-square-foot home at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex – an easy hour’s drive and fun day trip from Orlando.
Antarctica – Empire of the Penguin at SeaWorld Orlando® – The ride through the icy world of penguins that debuted a few months ago in summer 2013 is a major expansion at SeaWorld Orlando that takes you inside Antarctica through a penguin’s point on view. The magnificently designed, can’t miss entrance of the Antarctica ride is part mountain, part penguin in appearance. The Empire joins another recent attraction at SeaWorld Orlando, Turtle Trek.
A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas – Pirates of the Caribbean is a classic ride at Walt Disney World Resort, but a new attraction that features awakening spirits of pirates that are awakened to give clues during the new A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas attraction at Magic Kingdom Theme.
SeaVenture at SeaWorld Orlando’s Discovery Cove – Have a splash at Discovering Cove, which has been adding new additions, like its Freshwater Oasis with small, playful Asian otters and Marmosets monkeys swinging in the trees above. Debuting in 2013, the SeaVenture attraction allow divers to dive in with the sea life and stand on the floor of the Grand Reef as Discovery Cove guides write about the surroundings on an erasable board so “divers” can learn while underwater. No experience is needed as special oxygen-based headgear is provided so you can experience what diving is like and the many splendors of underwater marine life.
Rattlesnake Zip Line Roller Coaster at Florida EcoSafaris – Most Central Florida visitors orbit the theme parks so we’d be remiss not to mention the just over a year-old latest attraction/ride, the Rattlesnake, the first zip-line roller coaster in the U.S., located at Florida EcoSafaris.
