WHAT CAN YOUNGER CHILDREN ENJOY?
Universal Studios Orlando has plenty for younger kids: for example, the E.T. Adventure, a fantasy experience where you ride your own bike through the night sky. The ride is fast and furious, and can be a bit scary for younger children; riders must be 48″ high. Men in Black Alien Attack is an interactive experience that allows you to shoot aliens. More fun experiences include Twister’s simulated tornado, Terminator 2: 3D Battle Across Time and Earthquake: The Big One, a simulated quake in a subway station that can so be a bit scary fire explosion, rocking motions and gushing water. But most kids and adults will want to gravitate toward the thrill coasters at Islands of Adventure’s just a short walk away, with thrill coasters, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, as well as the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, an exciting 3-D simulator thrill ride that got even better with a 2012 makeover. Islands of Adventure also has three fun wet rides. Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls, in Toon Lagoon, which is similar to Disney’s Splash Mountain; you will get completely soaked so wear a poncho if you can stash one in your bag.
