Taking On Hilton Head
There are five public beach accesses on Hilton Head, the nearest is only about 2 miles from the Park Lane and filled with coastal adventures. Or just sit back and relax in one of the available beach chairs with an umbrella while the kids soak up gallons of fun. Beyond the water sports, Hilton Head is the ideal destination for golfers. The 12-mile-long, 5-mile-wide island is home to 45 golf courses, of all levels and with many spectacular views. If tennis is your game, the world-renowned Van der Meer Tennis University offers a full array of programs with two convenient locations of the south end of the island and the only indoor/covered courts in the region. Old South Golf Links/Hilton Head National is 10 miles from Park Lane; head 1 mile down the road to take a swing at The Palmetto Dunes Golf Courses. Home to the Verizon Heritage of Golf tournament, Harbor Town Links Golf Course, is a PGA players’ top pick and just five miles away. Harbour Town also boasts a variety of attractions, including the candy-cane striped lighthouse, specialty stores and restaurants. For more shopping, head one mile down the road to the Shelter Cove Mall, anchored by  Belk’s and Sac’s Fifth Avenue and including stores like Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and the Gap, to name a few. Shelter Cove Marina & Shops is one mile away, just across the bridge in Bluffton, you can shop over 85 brand-name stores at the Tanger Outlets. Little explorers also love sailing on the Black Dagger with Pirates of Hilton Head, a family-fun experience.

Dining & Nightlife
Island dining is a great time to unwind and enjoy some first-rate service, atmosphere, scenery and delicious cuisine. You haven’t truly visited Hilton Head without sampling Frogmore Stew or a bowl of crab soup, but there’s certainly no shortage of choices. The Park Lane manager’s recommendations include the Santa Fe Café, Carrabbas, The Jazz Corner club and restaurant and Ela’s Blu Water Grille. There’s also Reilley’s Bar & Grill, Red Fish, Kurama Japanese Seafood and Steakhouse, One Hot Mama’s, Chart House, The Smokehouse and the Crazy. Steamers Seafood also is a casual seafood restaurant and a great family-fun place to eat out. Enjoy the only sunset diner cruise on the island aboard The Spirit of Harbour Town, and a delectable brunch on the patio at Black Marlin Bayside Grill at Palmetto Bay Marina. When the city pulse rises for the evening, you can enjoy live music at the Salty Dog (a popular hot spot), visit The Quarterback at the base of the lighthouse or Wild Wing Café, have a daiquiri at the Frosty Frog Café, sit and sip at Two Eleven Park Wine Bar and Bistro, sit on the lagoon deck at The Zone indoor/outdoor bar, cheer on your team at Callahan’s Sports Bar, experience Big Bamboo Café at Coligny Plaza, listen to live bands at Stages, and sample Brew Pub, South Carolina’s first microbrewery and restaurant since the prohibition. For some family fun no one will forget, stroll the moonlit beach, and at just the right moment, you may witness hundreds of loggerhead turtle hatchlings as they scurry for the rolling shores.
